Graphic Design Instirations
This is a graphic design I like by Josef Muller Brockmann that I found. This is a poster for the Zurich Town Hall. His shapes and colors have inspired many designers over the years. I am always interested in positive and negative shape and this piece says it all. He uses the pattern of a semi-circle shape to unify the work. By using repetition and variation, he has maintained interest in the design. It was not only innovative in it's time, but I think it still is relevant for today's graphic designer.

Love, love, LOVE, Josef Muller-Brockmann. I agree with you on his use of positive and negative shape - he is the master. He did a series of music posters that were so brilliant that when you looked at them you could almost her the music (if you new the piece).
